For this edition´s Magical Setting, Funga has picked the spectacular Reserva el Torón in Mazunte, Oaxaca. The project is made of two houses, Casa Chicatana and Casa Guayácan, and is built on a cliff surrounded by nature. It was designed using sustainably sourced materials, using a lot of wood that is at one with its surroundings and celebrates the richness and culture of the coast of Oaxaca and its people. Both houses are available to rent separately or together and enable its guest to fully disconnect, unwind to the sound of the birds and ocean and explore one of the richest natural areas in Mexico. At night, bioluminescence is visible on the private beach, and during whale season, you can watch them go by from the house. When I say it is a magical place, I truly mean it!

Have a look at Reserva el Torón´s website to get a full drone tour of the construction. It is mind-blowing.
