Magical Settings
APR 2023
To go to Japan has been a lifelong dream which recently came true. I spent three weeks traveling through the country, visiting Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, Kobe, and ended up in the very north of the country, Niseko.
I am so grateful to have spent so many days there and am left with an incredible impression of the culture and people. Rarely in my life have I experienced so many acts of kindness. Living in a city like Mexico City, where the rule seems to be not to follow the rules, it was fascinating to observe a country that is so polar opposite. Funnily, even though Mexico and Japan could not be more dissimilar in some ways, I have equally experienced a few of the most extraordinary acts of generosity from Mexicans. There is a clear connection between these two amazing countries, and it is a privilege to have learnt and keep learning new ways and customs.
Kyoto is particularly magical, as one can walk the whole city, and it feels stuck in time. The tradition of the place is so strongly felt, and there are little gems to be found on every street. Walking down Philosopher´s Path with the cherry blossoms in full bloom is a memory I will forever treasure.
Below I have added some pictures of my days in beautiful Kyoto. I hope to be back very soon.
