Meditation & Breathwork
When I lived in New York, I used to love Inscape. It was a studio where one could book hour-long group meditations in beautifully lit domes. Sadly, it no longer exists, but some meditations are still available on their Instagram.
I have taken their Clear Your Mind meditation and added a little more breathwork for the perfect quick reset.
Meditation is your best retreat when you are out of balance. Our brains have a default setting, often called the monkey mind. It is when we constantly move from one thought to the next. When we are stressed or anxious, it can run wild. Meditating regularly helps to have a quietening effect on our minds. Meditation is training your brain to form new patterns so you can become more agile in your thinking and be more able to snap back and reset when needed. A short meditation is the perfect way to regain your composure when you find yourself out of balance. Try to get into the habit of meditating every time you notice you are stressed. You will use the next set of gentle exercises to calm your body and mind.
